Not only will Cuttino Mobley miss tonight's game against the Wizards, he will also miss the next 5 games as the Rockets placed their starting two-guard on the Injured Reserve with a sore ankle.
When placed on the IR, a player must miss a minimum of 5 games.
Joining Mobley on the list will be Jason Collier, who is going on the IR for "shin splints" officially.
Activated in place of Mobley and Collier were Terence Morris and Tito Maddox. Morris came back with a bang, throwing down a monster jam in transition off a feed from Steve Francis.
As for Mobley, at training camp here in Austin in October, Mobley was nursing a hurt ankle and given the pain it seemed to me that he was in then, it was amazing he returned to action so soon.
