Dan Langhi made the most of a rare start Tuesday night.

The Rockets forward played just 28 minutes, but hit 8 of 9 shots, scoring a career high 17 points, as the Rockets came from 13 down to beat the Sonics 100-98 in the Compaq Center.

The win improves the Rockets' mark to 27-46 on the season.

Langhi had his shot going on, and believe it or not, as much of a sharpshooter as the guy is, he hit his first career three-pointer in this game (he's only taken 4 threes his entire career, and two of those attempts came tonight). Still, Langhi didn't play the majority of the fourth quarter (if he played any of it at all) as Rudy T went with Terence Morris (5 points, 4 boards) down the stretch, despite the strong showing by Dan.

Who else had it going on? Steve Francis. Francis, who had some headache problems again this morning, played and scored a game-high 32 points, adding 6 assists and 6 boards to boot. Strong showing for the Franchise.

The question after the game seemed to be 'What was Gary Payton thinking?' The Sonics point guard, who nearly won the game by himself for the Sonics with 25 points, 11 assists and 10 boards, kicked the ball in to the stands out of frustration with under a minute to go. The refs called a technical, Cuttino Mobley made the freebie and it helped the Rocks.

Kenny Thomas and Cuttino Mobley each added 16 points, though Mobley did not have his stroke working against Seattle. He hit just 5-14 from the field. Kelvin Cato added 5 points, 10 boards (5 offensive) and 2 blocks.

The Rockets took advantage of a huge discrepancy in the free throws. The Rockets were 31-37 from the charity stripe, while the Sonics were 6-11. 25 extra freebie points.
